Just southwest of the famed town of Chablis is the lesser known village of Irancy, a sub-region of Burgundy known for wonderful wines and great value. Benoit Cantin farms 16 hectares of vineyards across 10 lieu-dits featuring Kimmeridgian limestone soils that lend a rustic, honest quality to the wines. This is a thought-provoking wine with character and charm that punches well above it's weight. Plenty of earth with dashes of bright cherry fruit and spice.
