Without doubt one of the great white wines of the world from the historic Rioja bodega, R. López de Heredia. The Viña Gravonia Crianza Blanco is not only the most affordable of LDH's wines, it is also one of the most impressive. Made entirely from Viura grapes from the estate's own 90+ year old vines and aged in American oak barrels for 4 years prior to bottling for an additional 4 years. The wine is wonderfully complex and layered, presenting a symphony of oxidative notes that develop in the glass. For the wine lover, this is certainly a bottle to experience.
