Ryme Cellars is a project by husband and wife team Ryan (Ry) and Megan (Me) Glaab. What started as a single ton of southern Italy’s favorite red variety, Aglianico has since turned into a beautiful portfolio of wines that includes a good chunk of other Italian varieties like Vermentino, Fiano and Sangiovese, as well as several more classic French varieties that Sonoma is more well known for - Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon. Ryan and Megan aim to do each variety justice but in moments where they each have a completely different idea of what the wine should be, they make separate ‘His’ and ‘Hers’ bottlings. The 2023 ‘Hers’ Vermentino is delicious. Salty and honeyed on the nose with white flowers and a touch of dried herbs. On the palate, textured yet fresh with zippy lemon acidity.
