Beaumont is a family-owned winery and farm located in the small town of Bot River in the Western Cape. Winemaker Sebastian Beaumont took over the lead role in 2004 and has grown the brand into one that is respected for top quality wines in the region. Their Chenin Blanc comes from Beaumont's Bot River fruit and is fermented in a combination of concrete and stainless steel. The wine is aged on the lees for four months in steel for an added dose of mouthfeel. The finished product is wonderfully fresh on the palate. Bright acid gives way to peach, pear and apple with great minerality. A fantastic value from Beaumont.
