"The 2022 La Neblina Pinot Noir epitomizes the essence of the Sonoma Coast with layered cherry notes, juicy red currant, and ripe boysenberry, followed closely by fresh rose petal and a gentle hint of vanilla. Amidst the fruit complexity lies an earthy allure of woodsy fall spice, mingled with a touch of sweet leather and a tinge of anise. Balanced on a midweight frame, chalky tannins harmonize with the bright entry, adding an elevated freshness and highlighting the versatility and longevity of this charming coastal Pinot Noir."
Eric Sussman’s journey through the wine-making world on the road to founding Radio-Coteau was truly impressive, to say the least. His studies and apprenticeships included Cornell University, Baron Philippe de Rothschild in Bordeaux, Comte Armand in Pommard, Jacques Prieur in Meursault, Lycée Viticole in Beaune, Bonny Doon in Santa Cruz & Dehlinger in Sonoma County.
In 2002, Eric established Radio-Coteau, focusing on the north coast vineyards of western Sonoma County and Anderson Valley. With their benchland locations, well-drained soils, exposure to capricious marine air and fog, these sites host grapes naturally suited to their surrounding elements. This natural selection afforded Eric an opportunity to refine his Old World experiences while working with New World grapes. For nearly two decades, he and his winegrowing team have strived to balance nature’s expression with a delicate, but disciplined human touch in these handcrafted wines. The winery has been Demeter Certified Biodynamic® since 2008, a reflection of their commitment to crafting wines of origin utilizing low-intervention winemaking practices. The estate vineyards are surrounded by forest, gardens, animals, historic buildings and orchards.
