Bodegas Antídoto is leading the renaissance of the remote eastern Soría zone of Ribera del Duero, with its ancient, often-ungrafted vineyards. The zone’s higher elevations and sandy soils allows growers to produce a unique, restrained style of Ribera del Duero, as well as some of Spain’s finest rosados. Bertrand Sourdais (Domaine de Pallus, Loire) and David Hernando employ organic viticulture and old-school winemaking to craft their compelling and affordable wines. This is beautiful Tempranillo that offers freshness not regularly found in Ribera del Duero. Black cherry, plum and floral aromas highlight a wine with soft tannins and a touch of oak.
