If Chardonnay scares you then we invite you to take a leap on the wines of the Mâconnais, where oak is traditionally used sparingly and the wines exhibit a side of Chardonnay not typically seen. These are wines with freshness, fermented in stainless steel and only aged in old, neutral oak barrels to give the wine a softness on the palate. Daniel and his son Julien are masters of their craft, tending to their vines organically and using gravity in the winery to be as gentle as possible on the wine. This is beautiful and a wonderful food accompaniment.
