Complex and filled with character are the wines of the Robin estate, which is known for producing exceptional wines from a range of old vine plots encompassing five grand cru and four premier cru sites in Chablis. Now operated by Guy's daughter, Marie-Ange, who took over from her father in the early 2000's and is responsible for carrying on the great work of this fourth generation estate. The 1er Cru Montee de Tonnerre is a beautiful bottling, fermented in 90% old oak. This is layered and long, rich with lemon, honey and toast, yet plenty fresh with the token Chablis minerality. A stunning wine that should age gracefully.
