From their trailblazing days around Kumeu to earning James Suckling's 2021 Wine of the Year award for their 2020 Maté's Vineyard Chardonnay, Kumeu River have established an international reputation that is well justified. The wines are absolutely excellent, and for the Burgundy lover looking to explore elsewhere, we will point you directly here. Barrel fermented (20% new oak) with 100% malolactic fermentation and aged in barrel for 11 months before bottling. This will age gracefully but is certainly ready to be drank now. Concentrated but very fresh with lemon curd and toast. Always a favorite in our books.
